How to connect to and sync with Apple Health - iOS
Connect to Apple Health in order to sync your exercise data to Lifesum and your nutrition data to Apple Health.
How can I connect Apple Health to Lifesum?
- Please go to the Diary/Progress tab.
- Go to your Profile in the top right corner.
- Go to Settings in the top right corner.
- Go to Automatic Tracking.
- Press Activate on the top option.
You will then be directed to Health where you have to confirm the connection by pressing " Activate" again.
Below the Activation button you will find the options to export:
- Import your weight (From the Health app).
- Export your health data, meaning nutritional data (From Lifesum to the Health app).
**What data is transferred between Lifesum and Apple Health? **
This is the data we export/import:
Export:
- Food calories
- Food nutrition
- Weight
- Water intake
Import:
- Exercise calories
- Steps
- Active Calories
- Exercise Time
- Workouts
- Weight
**I am having issues with the connection, what can I do? **
If you are experiencing issues with the sync to or from Apple Health there are some things you can try:
- Make sure that the Health App is updated to the latest version.
- Make sure that Lifesum is updated to the latest version.
- Disconnect Health from Lifesum under Automatic Tracking.
- Make sure that you have allowed Lifesum to read/write the necessary data. You can do this by:
- Opening the Health app.
- Go to your Profile.
- Go to Apps under Privacy.
- Press Lifesum in the list of apps.
- Review the list of data.
- Connect Health to Lifesum again by pressing Activate.
